Community College Admissions Information
Community colleges have a rolling admissions policy; which means you are able to submit your application anytime. If you are sure you want to attend a particular community college it is wise to submit your application earlier rather than later to ensure a better class selection, preferably the Spring prior to a Fall start date.
If you need financial aid, you should submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after the opening date of October 1ST to ensure the best consideration for government aid and college aid. Many colleges have priority deadlines. Please see the financial aid link for more information.
A great website for information on all of Washington States Community and Technical Schools is Washington State Board for Community & Technical Colleges.

Lakewood High School is a WAGAP school! Learn about Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) here: https://wacollegeguarantee.org/
The Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) aims to increase college access by assuring students that the answer to “Will I get in?” is “Yes.” It is a partnership between Washington public universities, school districts, and high schools, coordinated by the Council of Presidents. WAGAP promotes a college-going culture statewide, starting with the belief that all students are “college material.” It reduces anxiety around higher education by guaranteeing admission to students who have met the university requirements.
To be eligible for guaranteed admissions, you must: (1) Earn a cumulative, unweighted 3.0 GPA or higher, and (2) Complete all college-required courses in high school. If you meet the requirements or are on track to meet the requirements, you are guaranteed admission to the participating institutions.
WAGAP supports guaranteed admissions efforts at Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, The Evergreen State College, University of Washington Tacoma, Washington State University and Western Washington University.
