College Entrance Exams

College Entrance Exams (PSAT, ACT, SAT)

Lakewood High School CEEB code is 480586.

Some universities require or recommend the ACT or SAT as part of their admissions procedures. Schools will typically accept either test, but you should check with your intended school for their specific policies.

In order for the school to have your scores in time for the admissions deadline, you should plan on taking your tests in your junior year and/or the fall of senior year. Please check the SAT or ACT link below for test dates, registration deadlines, and fees.  If you need assistance with the costs of the tests, fee waivers are available to those who also qualify for free/reduced lunch or other criteria through Mrs. Irish in the Career Center.  If you are in need of testing accommodation please see Mrs. Irish in the Counseling Center at least 6 months prior to test date.

PSAT

The PSAT is taken nationwide in the Fall.  Primarily, juniors and sophomores take this test as practice for future SAT testing.  Taking the test as a junior may qualify you for the National Merit Scholarship program.  Students who see college as an option in their future should take this test as a junior and preferably as a sophomore too.  Lakewood High School will offer the PSAT on October 15, 2025. Students must sign up with Ms. Kellar in the main office by Sept. 30TH. The test fee is $10 for Lakewood High School students.
